From  Irondale, Alabama to the World!

On August 15 1981, in a simple garage studio in Irondale , Alabama  Mother Angelica  launched EWTN into the homes of 60,000 viewers for four hours a day.From those small beginnings Mother’s family today has grown to encompass over 300 million viewers in over 140 countries via satellite, radio, and the web.

EWTN Global Catholic Network,now  in its 38th year, is the largest religious media network in the world. EWTN’s 11 global TV channels are broadcast in multiple languages 24 hours a day, seven days a week. EWTN platforms also include radio services transmitted through SIRIUS/XM, iHeart Radio, and over 500 domestic and international AM & FM radio affiliates; a worldwide shortwave radio service; one of the largest Catholic websites in the U.S.; electronic and print news services, including Catholic News Agency, “The National Catholic Register” newspaper, and several global news wire services; as well as EWTN Publishing, its book publishing division.

The channel is the home of many popular programs . Some of the more popular ongoing programs are : The Journey Home , The World Over With Raymond Arroyo and Women of Grace. The channel also broadcasts daily the Mass from the Our Lady of Angels Chapel. The Divine Mercy Chaplet is also broadcast daily along with the Holy rosary with a variety of hosts.
